Takachiho town is a mysterious sacred place where gods live in . Here you can experience the mythical world of Japan.
Amano Yasugawara is a cave near the river where the gods gathered to find a way to lure Amaterasu Omikami comes out from the hidden cave in Amano Iwato because the earth and heaven were in darkness. There are countless piled stones line up in the cave that is a believed that when you make a wish, the blessing will come true. This place is also a sacred place that Japanese people believe that they must visit once.
Enjoy the traditional art of puppet at Seiwa Bunrakukan. Here is the only one in Kyushu
